RoT: Part 1 - Chapter 1-9

I just had a feeling, after reading the end of this part, that 1. There's a spy in Roen and Jill's camp and 2. That Roen is going to die by Jacob's hand and Cameron will then kill Jacob
Also really interesting is the dynamic created from the Great Betrayal. Humans hunting Quasing while the Quasing are still having their civil war.
Have no idea where this is all going but it's been super fun up to this point
I don't remember a lot of detail from the last two books.
He seems to be doing a decent job of very slowly reminding me though.
I forgot Marco and Jacob both.
I like your spy theory, but I hope you're way wrong about Jacob killing Roen. I want a happy ending. Damnit
I buy Cameron taking him out though. Maybe helping/saving Roen.
I do like the dynamic from the Great Betrayal as well.
At this point I'm most looking forward to filling in the gaps of what's happened since the last book. Plus it sounds like we might get some pre-Earth Quasing history before the Cameron chapters..
And I think Cameron and that girl is going to be trouble..

And yeah agreed about Cameron and that chick, something's going to go down

While I love Roen, I really thought it was a cop-out that he didn’t die at the end of the last book (in millions of years no one ever survived a transfer until our Hero?!). I’m glad that was at least addressed with Project Roen.
I’ve really liked the relationship between the Quasings and their Hosts in the series. Since they’re really just a voice in their head, how Quasings work with (or belittle and command) their Hosts. I predict that that’ll be a key part in the Cameron/Alex relationship. I hope we’ll not have Alex as a POV, and just get the impressions/guesses from Cameron and her Dad. I figure we won’t know who she’ll be loyal to until she reveals.

I'm withholding judgement until it's explained. That's one of the things I really hope he fills in about the last 10 years..

Everything is a giant fucking mess, isn't it? The Quasing civil war is still going on yet both factions are being hunted by humans with no end in sight. I have no idea how this will all wrap up but I don't see a happy ending for the Tans.
Also, I'm now picturing Roen to look like Chu which is werid because I didn't in the previous books.

I am not a big fan of time jumps in general but this one works well. Agreed that Tao in an infants head would have been weird.
Cameron's POV was so sad. It is interesting that When Tao joined Roen he helped him to pick up Jill and improved his personal and professional life but he isn't able/willing to do this with Cameron strictly focusing on his training.
I was kind of hoping for a bit of an improvement in the Prophus fate they have been so beat down this entire series.
