groveling is when the H does something shitty or betrayal and he has to go all the way and beyond to earn h forgivenessit's a trope not fully achieved by most unfortunately bec writes want the h and H to be together and do the SSS that they cut in the grovel
a grovel should be as good and proportionate as the betrayal
a "I wrote you a letter/song" or "internal monologue of remorse" or " a simple I'm sorry at the end" is a poor excuse of a grovel

Hey thanks! I thought the grovelling trope was an ugly guy who grovelled for 499 pages before the girl marries his hotter, fitter father.
It is good... though grovelling part was a bit mehh
King of Greed by Ana Huang. This book was so good.
