Raevyn has dark brown - though some people think it's black; hair. She has stunning blue eyes, which stand out even more because of the eyeliner she uses. Rae is about average height; standing at about 5'0" inches tall.
Raevyn always wears these articles of clothing: a black leather jacket to hold her throwing knives, a weapons belt with her stygian iron dagger, and black converse or black boots.
She usually wears solid color tanktops or t shirts, and skinny jeans. Ironically, instead of what you might expect, dark colored socks, Raevyn actually wears rainbow-colored socks, but are usually concealed within her boots, but if she's wearing converse, then you'll see the only colorful thing she's wearing.

{Personality} Anti-social, loner, and hostile? Yup, that pretty much sums up Raevyn. Or does it? There's more to her than you may think. Raevyn hates the human race(and demigod race I guess? o-o They're still human..but half god..)including herself. Humans have done nothing but harm the earth and other people, and she hates it all. You may say she's being pessimistic and looking on the downside of everything, but she says it's fact. Humans destroys. It's what they're best at. Okay, she may be a bit pessimistic...
Raevyn hates people, bright colors, and perky personalities. She absolutely despises being judged, and is misunderstood. A lot. Though Raevyn is cold, unfriendly, and is always in the shadows, she is a fairly nice person..once you get to know her.

{Fatal Flaw} Hostility toward others(not being able to work in a group basically)

{History} Raevyn was born in Michigan, and didn't find out she was a demigod until she was fourteen years of age. She had an abusive, bipolar, drunk all the time, unstable mother who never really raised her. Mrs.Hawthorne was always at bars or casinos and didn't come home until morning, where she would lock the door of her room for hours. Since Rae's mother is bipolar, sometimes she'd be abusive and horrible, and other times, she would apologize and apologize for everything. It was tiring and annoying, with all of the moodswings..the instability. At school, Raevyn never had any friends, or anything. She was alone. One day, when Raevyn was fourteen, she felt like she couldn't take it any longer, so she ran away. Simple as that. She didn't look back, and she didn't regret it. Or so she says.
She ran far away, went wherever the wind took her, did what she could to survive. Yes, she stole. She sneaked into houses at night, or when the owners were away, and took a small quantity of food(so nobody would notice)and slip away into the night, never being caught. Though she's been close to being caught. But with her stealth and caution, she was fine. Police never did go after her, since her mother never reported a missing child. Raevyn, to this very day, has no idea what happened to her mother. Was she dead? Alive? Still a drug addict? She would never know. She didn't want to know.
Eventually, a satyr found Raevyn after she was attacked by a hydra blablabla and took her to Camp Half Blood, where everything was explained. The strange things she could do with earth, the ability to see the life aura of someone(and see if they're close to death or not.)etc etc etc. Raevyn has been training there ever since.

{Personality} Everleigh is a friendly, hardworking person. She's always spinning and bouncing, and is also very hyper. She's a bit insane sometimes, and doesn't have many friends. Everleigh has a short attention span, and talks a mile a minute. She enjoys nature and animals. {History} Everleigh's mother loved parties. A lot. She always went to wild parties every night. But she was careful; or at least tried to be. And yes, she was young. Only nineteen years of age. But, sometimes people have a little too much to drink at parties. And sometimes they have a one nightstand with strangers and make babies. Then find out they're pregnant. And regret it. Since Eva's mother was only nineteen; aka very young, she considered having an abortion, but then decided against it. After Dionysus; the mysterious stranger, came to visit her and told her about himself, and persuaded the young woman to give the girl up to adoption. And she did just that. Everleigh went to an orphanage after born, and lived there until she was eight. Then she left the orphanage and was thrown into the foster care system, because the orphanage had too many kids and was running out of room. Everleigh foster family weren't too mean to Eva, but did pretty much ignore her 24/7. At school, Everleigh was bullied and taunted for many things, and she soon became insecure, and depressed. She got a little mad too, always talking nonsense and seeing things and talking to voices in her head, had multiple personalities, etc. Sometimes she was sane; and sometimes not. Then, at age fourteen, she went to Camp Half Blood.

History/family(5+ sentences): Her family is all deceased. Killed by ‘Canadians’. (Cannibals with fireballs.) She had a four-year-old sister, and her mother and father. She was six, and had a kitchen knife with her. She had been learning how to make dinner with her mom. She defended herself, and ran away, terrified of the giant smelly monsters who had badly hurt her sister right before she ran. A few hours later, Kelsie went back to the house to find one of her sister’s torn-to-shreds sneakers next to the slightly chewed on body of her father, and her mother’s wedding ring. A sight to shock and traumatize any kid, she runs away again, and lives in trash cans for a couple of years, before she can get herself together enough to pretend to be older than she was, getting a job, and moving into a small apartment. Right when she started going back to school, instead of just sticking with the books she had bought and studied, a group of monsters attacked the high-school. She ran again, and was found by a satyr. A few days later, she was walking into Camp Half-Blood.

Jin is a classic douchebag™ with an inflated-ego to boast. His smiles are laced with a silent aggression, as if challenging anyone-- and everyone-- to speak against him. Despite the sunny atmosphere that shrouds him, he is known to be merciless with his enemies, often mocking and taunting them after their defeats. These qualities might prevent some from interacting with Jin, but his winsome laughter and charismatic manners can draw anyone to him. However, the amount of close friends he has is close to none, which is further exacerbated by his emotional distance towards everyone. Born to a family of artists, Jin was taught to embrace creativity and the happiness in life at a young age. However, throughout the majority of his life, his mother always found herself in debt. Being a struggling artist and mother at the age of 20 meant many things, one of which was foregoing her artistic aspirations and re-entering the career field as a business woman. Due to his mother’s work schedule, Jin was left unattended most of the time. However, food and money was always on the table, and there was always a shelter over his head.

Entering the school system was a rough and rocky transition for Jin; his dyslexia interfered with his skillset for reading and writing, but he excelled in mathematics. Numbers were understandable and clicked in his head unlike words. His social life in school was filled with lackluster and one-sided friendships, frequently resulting in Jin completely cutting off all interactions. He’s the type of person who yearns for surprises to rekindle his interest and once a relationship grow stale, he’s not afraid to toss it aside.

As Jin grew older, mystical creatures became more attracted to him and the aura that he emitted. Eventually, his mother realized his life would be endangered if he was kept in the mortal realm any longer. With a gentle kiss and tight hug, Jin was sent to Camp Half-Blood.

Born on the cusp of spring, Daisy, in her “father's” eyes, symbolizes a series of regrets. Her mother, who came from a wealthy and prominent family, married at the young ripe age of 19. The marriage soon became marred with a husband’s long nights far away from home and a wife tending to bottles of wine in an echoing house. Desperate for warmth and a night spent in someone’s arms, her mother became well-acquainted with a woman named “Catherine.” Soon after the development of their relationship, her mother arrived back home with a crying infant in her arms and an estranged-husband silent with seething rage.

Daisy had the comforts of life at the tips of her fingers; everything she wanted was hers, except for her parents’ affections. As her mother turned away in guilt, she befriended her loneliness, greeting it each time with tears and a heavy heart.

Being an illegitimate child, Daisy was rarely seen past her family’s estate. She was given private tutors and awarded with bouquets of flowers and baskets of candies. (Each time, she tore the flowers apart until all that’s left are the remnants of something beautiful.)

Family:
Koda's mother, Gianna, was from Italy. She grew up in an abusive household and the day she turned 18 she moved out of her house without a penny behind her. She sturggled throught the cold nights and hard moments. She got a job and saved up her money for months determinded to never give up. When she had kids she made sure they never they had that problem. She gave them a home filled with laughter and joy making sure they knew they were loved no matter what. She made sure she raised happy kids but also maintained boundries to make sure her children would become respectable human beings. While she hated her up bringing she was still very proud of her culture and made sure to teach her childeren italian and their culture. Often by cooking in the kitchen with all of them. She was a very creative woman. Art was her passion. She would constanly make paintings and sell them at the local market. However when she was not painting she was writting. She dreamed of the day she would become a famous author, thousands reading her books captivated by the characters and worlds within them.
Koda grew up with 3 brothers. All of which are half brothers. Zachery and Conner are twins. They are the oldest just having turned 17. Their deadbeat dad left when they were born never to be seen again. (No he not a god) They are very protective of Koda and where heartbroken when she had to move to camp writing to her every day, sending her present waiting for the day she comes home in the Winter. Koda has a special bond with them because when she was growing up they took it upon themselves to give her a male role model in her life making sure she knew she was safe with them. Koda's mother recently got married to a man named Spencer. He is a teacher at a local school. He is a kind hearted man who took Koda and her brothers in with open arms and a huge smile. He realized with his passion of sports, and how quickly he was able to learn. Camp Half Blood was introduced to him in a dream by his godly parent. He was slightly confused, and wondered if he was actually dreaming about such "nonsense". As his upcoming game to play, he was faced with another player- from another school, and he was slightly more "inhumane" than the others. At the end of the game, when Oscar went to go get some water, he was threatened by the other player, and realized the dream was real.

[ backstory ]
- often found near the soccer fields, or the basketball courts- anywhere that involved talking to others, and enjoying himself through talking, and playing- like any average teenager. His mother was often of very vague details, but his step-father was a big part of his life. Upon raising him from a boy, his father was sick, and often very ill. By the age of 4, his father had passed, and his mother remarried, almost instantly. Not a fan of his mother, he often looked up to his step-father, who was the only person who was around to help when he was struggling-the readings and writing essays portion- which were a big part of his school.

The struggles with reading and writing made him wonder what had caused it. It was then, (aged 10), that he had a dream of a strong muscled man, running across the sky, with a huge bow and arrow, the size of the man. Amused, by the dream, he began to wonder who he was. Studying around a bit, when his friends weren't chuckling nonsense at him, he was dumbfounded by the similarities of the characteristics that he and that "man", ( Apollo ) had. He remembered his mothers words, out of the blue, echoing in his head, about someone who she'd met, shortly after she'd married his father.

He somehow found himself running away from his school, as a women, with devil wings began chasing him-hissing and clawing out her way of that women disguise. He heard a few soft voices, echoing through his head, which seemed to lead him to some sort of safe haven away from the "lady".

History: Used to being second to everything, Blaire was not really into her studies, as they only got her second in almost every subject. Second best always made her believe she wouldn't be useful, until one night at her swimming club. She had just finished practicing and was going against another classmate when a powerful gust of water pushed the classmates over into the pool. She'd realized something special about the water, it was shaped like her beret, which had two buttons, would become a horn on one side. Cyril is a reserved and introverted individual‬ who prefers to keep to himself, such as reading or writing alone and researching history. He struggles with anxiety that has overcame him for a majority of his early teenage years. He is highly soft-spoken and struggles with speaking and standing up for himself. Although he is passionate about standing up for and defending those who are vulnerable to being oppressed. He is fiercely loyal to his friends which in turns render him sometime vulnerable to betrayal. He is optimistic while naive which causes him to always see the goods in everyone even when he has been betrayed and taken advantage of. He is an easily forgiving person and wishes for only peace in the world. He is also extremely observing and calculative, thanks to his quiet nature that he is able to easily blend into the background and observe his surroundings to his advantage. However, this gives him a cold and stoic image that sometimes causes anyone who doesn’t know him to deem him as unapproachable, even though he is always happy to help whenever approached. Cyril was born and raised in Vienna, Austria before moving to live in Tokyo, Japan and Marseille, France (his father’s home country) at 4 and 6 years old. His father is of Nigerian-French descent while his mother is of Egyptian-Japanese-Native American descent. He and his family eventually moved to live in the US permanently when Cyril was 7 and his twin younger siblings were born. His magical ability manifested around the first time of his arrival to the US. Even though it has manifested in him at such a young age, no one has ever taken notice of it due to the fact that his parent were constantly occupied with works and strange occurrences only ever happening coincidentally whenever no one is paying attention on him. This might’ve been his early ability to sub-consciously control his magic which indicates his massive magical potential. As he grew up, Cyril had always regarded his strange ability as a normality, although he understood that it must be kept only to himself. A number of incidents that happened in his early teenage years which almost exposed his ability sparked a severe anxiety disorder which caused to him to desire to be overlooked in fear of doing the wrong thing and thus exposing his secret. Consequentially, Cyril also involved himself with modern-day witchcraft for a period of time. This is also what sparked his interest in researching into the witch trials in the past. As he dove further into the subject, he discovered his family’s ancestry and learned that a pair of his ancestors were accused of witchcraft and persecuted during one of the early European witch trial. However, this doesn’t necessarily explain his magical ability considering that his ancestors might’ve also just been innocent victims to the trial. It wasn’t until the first time he witnessed the world of Greek mythology in real life, in which he saw a battle between some monsters and demigods as a result of him manipulating the Mist that obscured it, that he began to suspect his true lineage. He manipulated the Mist in order to reach Camp Half-Blood and demigods. Through their helps and his own, Cyril learned of his true ancestry. Cyril is a many generations legacy of the goddess Hecate. His accused witches ancestors were truly demigods and children of Hecate, therefore capable of performing real magic. This magical lineage had slowly faded and became muddled ever since from generations to generations until almost non-existent to the point that the family even has no recollection of ancestors who were involved with the early European witch trials. Magic has almost completely vanished from the bloodline, Cyril is the first in many generations and centuries to be born with full magical abilities. Staying at the camp, the Hecate’s cabin allowed Cyril to stay with them. Although, his magical ability are still not at an impressive level, with proper trainings and experiences, he has the potential to become a powerful magic wielded, even stronger than Hecate’s direct children themselves and many powerful sorcerers in history.

Orfeus is an intelligent and witty person who is generally knowledgeable in everything which helps give him a likeable personality. While he is sometimes easy-going and carefree and likes to goof around, he can also be quite serious and tough at times. He does not care much about others’ opinions just as long it does not get in his way and prefers to get along with everyone and goes with the flow. However, when he is in his serious mood, he jokes less and prefer to focus on getting things done as he is quite a committed and determined person. He always keep his promise and fulfils any duty that is required of him no matter the circumstance. He is still just a sweet and caring guy who is always nice to everyone and can easily understand and relate to someone. Orfeus is quite secretive though, believing that others don’t have to deal with his business and does not struggle to keep secrets if he sees that it is necessary. Orfeus was born in Vancouver, Canada but raised in Incheon, South Korea until middle grade. From birth, he was blessed by Apollo, as Orfeus is actually the reincarnation of Hyacinth, Apollo’s male lover. He had a good childhood with loving and supportive parent and a close relationship with his step-family, being raised alongside them. He realised his gender identity at a young age but has kept it a secret for most of his childhood. After moving back to Canada, he finally came out to his parent at age 12 and met with supports and acceptance from both his father and step-father. He has a close relationship with all of his adopted triplet half-siblings. He began transitioning the following year. Unfortunately, he was bullied at school during the process which caused his family to have to move many times and eventually even across countries. He made very little friends due to this reason. However, during the transitioning process is when he first connected with his birth mother, the goddess Iris who appeared in astral form, disguised as dreams, offering him helpful advices but he still didn’t know that he is a demigod. He also started social media pages that grew in popularity, sharing his everyday life and interests. He also developed an interest in makeup and drag. Problems began to appear during his teenage years when monsters began attacking not only him but his family. Iris appeared to him again and revealed to him that he is a demigod. He was told to go to Camp Half-Blood which he eventually decided to go in order to protect not only him but his family. He utilised one of his demigod gift of illusion to help convince his parent. Orfeus is incredibly proud of his identity, he considers himself unapologeticaly queer, and has used his platforms to spread important awareness for what he stands for. He is very passionate about standing up for the LGBT+ community and is not having any of intolerance, close-mindedness, ignorance or hatefulness. Sometimes he attends Pride Parades and uses his gift as a child of the goddess of literally rainbow to spice up the events. He also does drag, however, because he still is not of legal age, is unable to go to most clubs. Hortense was born in the 1900s on her mother’s island. Her mother is Circe who imprisoned her father for many years on her island. Her father was a Japanese immigrant and emigrated to the United States and worked as a sailor. During one of his work duties out in the sea, his boat was lost among the sea and they stumbled upon Circe’s island. Her father and the other men that were on the boat were then imprisoned the island. Soon afterwards, her father formed a romantic relationship with Circe who later became pregnant with Hortense. At three years old, her father was released and moved away from the island, leaving Hortense to live her mother. Growing up on the island, Hortense learned many powerful magical abilities personally from her mother, alongside her other apprentices. Despite the magical lessons that she received from her mother, they had a rough relationship, Hortense wasn’t exactly close with her mother and they often argued. Hortense sometimes even disapprove of Circe’s actions as she grew older. At twelve years old, Hortense finally was able to find a way to escape from the island, she snuck onto a boat that was planning to leave the island. Upon arriving to the United States, she was homeless for many months and struggled severely to adapt to the new environment. She was not accustomed to the way of living of the other people not on the island. She got herself into many troubles by using magic which she eventually learned to conceal from mortals. While away from her island, she also planned to look for her parent, eventually she was able to find him, only to find out that he actually already had a family even prior to him arriving on the island. She also found out she had two half-siblings. Her father allowed to stay with his family for a few month before Hortense realised that she wasn’t exactly welcomed and ran away again to live on the street. While homeless and starving, she met with the goddess Artemis and her hunters at the age of 15. The goddess found out her background, took pity on her and offered her to join her hunters which Hortense gladly accepted and she was immortalised. She was a hunter for a very long time, traveling to many places alongside them and learning many useful skills to survive. She was fiercely loyal to the goddess and became one of the most skilful hunter. Many years later, she finally came to a hard decision to give up her immortality for a mortal life in order to experience normal things because she realised she have spent sufficient times to repay her gratitude to the goddess. For a faithful duties, Artemis peacefully granted her wish. As a mortal, she remained 15 years old in appearance and moved to Japan to connect with her cultural heritage. Eventually, she moved back to America and decided to live in Camp Half-Blood.

A doe ran in front of Artemis, she was a regal golden color with patterns of disfigured spots that ran along the left side of her leg. Artemis had charmed an arrow, little did she know that the arrow had been charmed with too much magic. Artemis followed to doe and watched her, waiting for the right moment to attack. After a few minutes the doe had stopped running and bent her head down to drink water from a lake that was in the woods. Artemis knew that the doe would not be able to run away with the lake right there, so she placed the charmed arrow into the bow and pulled the string with the charmed arrow notched. She aimed and let go. The arrow spun in the air and it hit the doe right in the stomach. Artemis nodded her head and walked over to the fallen doe. Red scarlet blood seeped through the open wound. Artemis squatted down and was now only a few inches up from where the doe lay. She took out her knife, ready to end the doe’s life swiftly, so it felt no pain, but a scream erupted from the doe’s mouth. She had turned into a naked baby girl. Artemis fell backwards and landed on her bottom. She then realized her arrow had been charmed, and it could have been charmed too much. She sighed and picked up the baby. Artemis took the bleeding baby girl to her twin brother Apollo, where he healed her. After a few months of caring for the baby, Artemis took her to Camp Half~Blood. Before she left she had named her Astera Rose Callistro. Then Artemis left and never saw her daughter again.

Falcor cares a lot about his friends and family, and easily becomes attached to new people. He does his best to be very kind to everyone he meets, and loves to help out however he can. Falcor grew up with his mom in a small house up in Maine. When he turned 13, his mom took him and his best friend, Jaala, to New York City to celebrate. Her step dad was the half-brother of a demigod so knew about the Greek world. He knew from the second he met her that this girl was a demigod. He was hoping that she had a bit more time before monsters start to attack but that didn't happen. She came to camp at the age of 12(four years back). They had been having a father-daughter day when the attack happened. Her rushed her to the car and drove at full speed towards where he knew Camp Half-Blood was. They didn't manage to cross the border before they were attacked by multiple monsters and he stayed back to give her a chance to get inside Camp Half-Blood. He wasn't a half-blood. He was mortal. He may be able to wield a sword and see through the mist but otherwise he was fully human. He died fighting. Because there was no way for him to get to safety. There was no safety in those woods.

Aphrodite had came down from Olympus trying to find another guy to flirt with, because that's what she loved to do. She chanced upon actor Alexander Shepherd, rising entrepreneur of one of the rising finance companies. He was young, and was extremely good looking, which caught the immediate attention of Aphrodite. Furthermore, he already had a 2 year-old daughter that he had with his ex-wife, and this enticed the Goddess even more. He was charmed immediately, and they spent more than a night together, which lead to Aphrodite giving birth to Cohen; breaking Alexander's heart and moving on to her next target.

As a result of two heartbreaks, Alexander fell into depression, distrusting anyone who looked marginally beautiful. This translated to is daughter, Riley, being directly affected by him especially when she felt like she was not comparable to her younger brother who seemed to excel in everything. However, Cohen was also affected, but because of his demigod blood, he could convince himself to stay strong to help both his father and sister. He was always under immense pressure to keep up the facade that he was fine, that he was just a pretty face, but deep down, he was battered, worn and tired. This resulted in him building up pride, and became the proud boy he is now.

He entered camp at the age of 13, when he was escaping some demons at the hospital where he was getting medication for his family members. A nurse-satyr helped him get to camp, and he did feel bad about leaving his family members in the real world, worried if he could still protect them. But with his charmspeak, he was able to sort - of influence his family to feel better from time to time, and aimed to get stronger as he grew older.

* Hope has been many people, but rarely has she had the freedom to be herself. As a child of Hermes, Hope is no stranger to travel, if anyone knows how to travel fast and under the radar, it's her. Hope is cunning and quick witted, but lacks academic smarts which is something she continues to regret. Hope is a slow learner when it comes to academics but picking up information and hands on skills has never been a problem. Hope may not be a genius by any standard, and she may not have stepped foot inside a school since she was 12, but Hope knows words. Like Hermes himself, Hope is skilled in the art of deception and loopholes and does what she needs to be done to survive. Hope's biggest regret is not having friends, often times putting herself before others because that's the way she's gotten by for years. Secretly, Hope is very passionate and driven, the type of driven that takes an army to beat down. If you give her a challenge she will be hard pressed to give up. Criticism will fall on deaf ears due to Hope having enough confidence for five people, and enough stupidity for ten. She's a risk taker and loves a good thrill, at the end of the day, though, all Hope wants is stability and safety. •

history // {TW: abuse} Hope's start is pretty familiar. Like many children before her, her godly parent had dropped her off and vanished, never to be heard from again. Except, unlike many other demigods, Hope would never meet her mother. She stayed with her mother for maybe a few months before it all went to hell, with her mother being deported and Hope being put into the system. After a couple of years Hope was adopted by a seemingly regular mortal family, raised with love by one Hunter and Je'Dan Clifton-Thomas in California. Hope lived in bliss for all of ten years, happily doing things she loved like violin, soccer, and traveling to different states with her fathers. It was a completely regular, boring day for Hope when she hopped off her bus and climbed the stairs to the family's apartment. Everything changed that day; Hope was thrown back into the system that day following the "mysterious crash" that claimed Hunter and Je'Dan's lives, though, Je'Dan's body had never been found. Two years full of abuse and bearing the weight of responsibility for too many kids in a house with parents that hardly seemed to care, Hope finally called quits after a fire started in the home. She didn't know who started it, but the stench of smoke woke Hope up from where she'd been lying by her three younger foster sisters. In a flash, she'd bundled the little ones up and rushed them downstairs and out into the yard. The two other kids were out of the house, but Hope knew her foster parents were still in there. They were lazy, volatile, and strict to the point of oppressive. Nevertheless, Hope ran back to the house to save her foster parents, which was when the roof caved.
The events from that night will never be revealed in full, since they are so fresh in Hope's mind. Hope ran after the fire, she ran and she ran and she kept running until she was across the country. By then Hope had worked out a system, and she knew the ins and outs and all the under handed moves. Hope was wholly prepared to live a life of crime, not willingly but it was all she could do given her circumstances. The satyrs that brought Hope to camp did so out of pity, and Hope made no move to stop them. She's ready to quit, ready to give up and this "Camp Half-Blood".... well, maybe it's a new start. History: Pyper lived with her mum and her older (half) brother. One night, she was lying in her bed, and got up to see her father talking with her mother. She didn't realise it was Apollo, though, so she got scared, thinking the strange man was some random guy in her house. She attacked the god from behind, her anger taking over her. Apollo cursed her, not knowing it was her daughter. Her curse was that every night, she would be taken over by an eidolon, making her uncontrollable. But by the time Apollo had realised it was his daughter he'd cursed, it was already too late. She was cursed for life.

Personality: Bri is quite shy. She is a complete bookworm. She will only open up to you if talking about books, or if she's known you for a while. She isn't a very flirtatious person, and is more comfortable following than leading.

History: Bri was home schooled for all of primary school, but just after her dad had finished teaching her grade 6, he died unexpectedly at work. She then went and lived at her uncle's house, but she hated her uncle. Her uncle made her go to a public high school. When she went to high school, she met an extremely strange guy. They soon became good friends. When she was starting year 8, this guy brought her to camp and she has been there ever since. She sometimes contemplates going home to see her uncle, but doesn't because she's sure that he doesn't miss her.
