No particular reason. Just curious about what these big twists in the future could be. It's the sort of twist that I've seen happen before, although I can only remember it happening with a sibling, not a love interest. Anyway, yeah. I had already been wondering it, and then there was that little conversation she had with Fort.

Speaking of Fort, another possibility is that he could be bad, but I don't think Sanderson would do that with the one disabled character.

My book became available earlier so I finished it in 3 days. Usually, I can get into a book and stay there but not this one. Maybe the writing style?

I liked the story line. I kept trying to make a connection with who was human and who wasn’t. Is Tress human? And all the Doug’s?

I don’t know that I want to read more of this series. I might give the next book a go.

@Dawna—yeah, I couldn’t read and read with this story, I had to take breaks. For me, it was definitely the style. But I loved it anyway!! Go figure.🤷‍♀️
