Those are the next on my list to read. But not because I liked Hoid. He was... unique. I don't feel like I got a very accurate view of him based off of the fact that he was cursed.

He pretended to be a man from one of the Great Houses of Luthadel and continually questioned him about any rumors pertaining to him, House Hasting or Lord Renoux. Hoid clearly made up a few of his "tidbits" and acted like a weak man before Kelsier. Hoid gave Kelsier the first clue that Shan Elariel was an Allomancer, but could not confirm it.

@Kacie & @Alana— Kacie, I think you already know this, but for the sake of letting people know *and * finding out if it is true across the board—

The android app does not hide spoilers even when they are hidden, which is why I try to remember to use 🚨🚨🚨 when a spoiler is coming even if I hide them.

The iPhone app seems to be inconsistent—sometimes it says [spoilers removed] and it’s unclickable, and sometimes the spoiler is hidden and you can click on it.

Anyone else have a different experience in their apps?

Nope. I have an iPhone now, so spoilers are hidden. I just usually try to warn people so android users don’t see it if they don’t want to.

I had an android first, and could never understand why people didn’t hide spoilers.🤭 Then I noticed that, when I used the website, they *were* hidden.🤦🏽‍♀️

I read Part 1 last night (yes, the whole part). I'm loving the narrator so far. The way he tells the story is hilarious. So many good quotes. :) And now it looks like things are going to get really interesting.

I really like both Tress and Charlie, and, of course, hate the Duke.

Btw, I think I've got the same version as Bets, one full-color illustration in the front, and that's it. 🤷🏼‍♀️What's all this artwork that everyone's talking about?

so this is part of Sanderson's secret project campaign. he wrote this and three other books in secret during Covid. so he made it into a whole Kickstarter, and a "year of Sanderson" in 2023. the copies included in the Kickstarter campaign were exclusive hardbacks with fully colored illustrations and beautiful covers (different than what y'all have)
