peyton | 43 comments i remember loving to read a few months ago, and i have quite the tbr piling up...but i just can't bring myself to actually sit down and read them. i sincerely need tips from other readers like you guys, so if you could drop some of your own personal tips you've used before down below, that would be so so helpful!

I figure out what day i want to finish a book and:
pages left/pages in book (if you haven’t started it)
——————-(divided by)
how many days you have left
and that equals how many pages you have to read a day to finish by your exact date. even if i don’t feel like reading, i make myself sit down and get my daily pages down. if i don’t finish by the time i go to sleep, i carry it over to the next day.
if that doesn’t make sense i can totally try to make it simpler im terrible at trying to explain my thought processes

liv (eunoia777) | 10 comments i always always read my fav book series (the cruel prince) when i'm in a slump and it gets me right back in the mood to read so if you have a fav book or series try rereading it again! or even js a book you liked that was easy to read, doesn't have to have been your fav

vin .ᐟ (hiatus) (vnny) | 64 comments honestly i know this is said so much but reading before bed every day even just a little bit helps so much, and eventually you'll get more interested in what you're reading

Melanie | 22 comments If I'm in a slump I like to pick a book that is different from what I would usually read! This helps it become less monotonous and re peaks my interest!

Skye | 17 comments try to read a shorter book!! and maybe go towards your most highly anticipated one, you kinda just gotta listen to yourself when this happens. i also always like make myself read 10-20 pages before going to bed just to keep the habit of reading going and maybe something will click and the slump will end lol

maud ⋆˙⟡ (booksmaud) | 5 comments What works for me would be picking up either a favourite series or a short book! I've read the off campus series multiple times to get out of a reading slump.

leyla ୨ৎ | 17 comments i watch booktubers/booktok to feel inspired again! also, sometimes physically reading a book can be mentally exhausting, so i love audiobooks for that!!
