Sam refuses to let Detective Ramsey interview Brooke. Putting aside her own personal conflict, was it the right thing to do have someone better trained to interact with Brooke, a sexual assault victim? Or, was she out of line?

Judy (bigfootgal) | 29 comments Since Sam knew that Ramsey had a personal grudge against her, it was reasonable to expect that he would not treat her niece gently or with respect. She arranged for a woman detective who was known to be very good with rape victims to interview Brooke.

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments I agree, Judy. I think Sam knew Ramsey would be harder on Brooke than a typical victim he would question, just because she was Sam's niece.

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2953 comments Sam was going to protect Brooke to the best of her ability and booting Ramsey was protecting her.

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 1803 comments Both Sam and Ramsey are in the wrong here. She was rude to him and he reacted.

Neither should be letting their personal animosity affect their job.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3474 comments There is no excuse of an SV cop to let personal feelings interfere with a victim's rights. Sam should not be on this case. It is totally wrong. If she knows Ramsey can't be neutral Sam should have asked for another SVU cop. Actually, I'm surprised that they didn't schedule a woman to interview Brooke.
