Yup it can be with anyone in the group. Just make sure its a scheduled buddy read and on the group calendar otherwise it wont count
Got you checked in 😊

No BRs set up yet, but want to try and read:Rivers of London Cat Among the Pigeons Wahala
Just starting to think about planning for the challenge now.

And I'm thinking about reading these:
I'm going to start June with
- if we could get a BR going within the group, this could get a few lines done.
Hey guys, I went ahead and created a spreadsheet for this. Not sure if we wanted to use one or not.
Here's the link, I'm hoping it works:

Works great! Okay so are we all individually supposed to do all these prompts or complete it as a team? Cause I'm starting on number two.

Correct, we need to complete every line of the song before we can repeat it.

Karen & Aneta: I see you are both reading Welcome to the Hyunam-Dong Bookshop, is there a BR set up for this? I just didn't see it on the calendar so I wanted to check in with both of you :)
Hey guys, so the spreadsheet seems view only? Anyhow, so far I have decided to read these for the prompts - 1. Didn't I tell you everything is possible -
2. in this deja vu? -
3. Try the river boat, the carousel, -
10. Wah Wah! Here comes the sun -
11. Some folks are on blankets, slowly daydreaming -
(Have started it already)12. And reaching for their food -
14. And a magazine with an attitude -
21. There's a painter painting his masterpiece -
24. All my life I've longed for this afternoon -
Nothing's set in stone and I'm absolutely sure I can't cover all books coz I have been on a really bad slump so haven't read anything for like, two years now 😬 But if these lines are already taken, or anybody's up for a BR, that'd be a good motivation :))
Karen wrote: "I'm going to start June with

Are there any other books that fit multiple lines that we could all BR? Even short books could do, that everyone can read and contribute to the group's points. For example, I Wrote This For You fits multiple lines and seems a fairly easy read with 200+ pages edition.
What say?
Hey guys sorry, I didn't realize the spreadsheet was set to view only for everyone. I have updated it so everyone should be able to edit.
In regards to claiming lines, I would say try not to claim too many at once. We don't want everything claimed and then be waiting on people to finish books while other people have finished books but nowhere to put them.

Wait, do you mean we have to wait on people to finish a book for the line they claimed? I assumed we could be more flexible as a team. Like, if somebody finishes a book that fits a line already claimed, they should be able to post it for the line regardless, no? Do individual points matter more than group points?
We can only start over again once everyone is finished. I see what you're saying JennOkay so I personally think Jenn is right. Cause some of us are faster readers than others. I think we should only have one book at a time on the spreadsheet. Once we are done with that book then we can move in to the next one.
That way it gives everyone a chance to move at their own speed. Youre right we don't wanna be waiting on people to read their planned reads and individual points DO count.
But I'm open to whatever :) that's just my opinion. Open to suggestions.
That's kind of what I was thinking JadeMoon. Only claiming for the book you are currently reading. That might let us move quicker through the spreadsheet. But I am also open to whatever the group wants to do :)

Happy to go with the majority view. I’ll amend the spreadsheet later so I only have one book on there.

Absolutely. I'll request the thread for 2nd June - and look forward to seeing what you make of it.

Yep, cool. Looking forward to it.
Hey, so I saw Karen's reviews in the review thread and I'm confused? Are matching letters enough? Shouldn't the word we read match one of the words from the prompt lyrics?
Challenge Guidelines- Complete a line by completing ONE WORD FROM THAT LINE.
- Complete a word by reading a book which has THE LETTERS OF THAT WORD ANYWHERE IN THE TITLE/SERIES NAME/AUTHOR NAME.
- Each time a line is completed your team will earn 10 bonus points.
- Once all lines are completed, the team can start again
I may well be wrong, but I think as long as the letters of the word feature somewhere we are okay. The two examples given had either the word or the letters to make up the word. If this isn't the case, sorry, and I'll rethink my reading!

Oh cool, I haven't checked out the examples. That makes it much easier then!
