Help! Debating between two books

So I'm debating between taking either "XOXO" by axie oh or "The Ballad of Darcy and Russell" by morgan matson for my upcoming vacation. If anyone has read either of these, I would really appreciate it if you guys could describe the tropes found in either of these books.
