I always thought science fiction and time travel has been interesting (speaking from personal preference). Time travel is more of a subgenre rather than a main stream one I suppose. Is it a new thing? No, not at all. But I seem to enjoy it quite a bit.
I honestly can't think of two that haven't already been combined. Maybe a Southern Gothic Space Opera? I'll have to give this some thought...
Well, riffing off how (some) southern Californians talk about the state (SoCal and NoCal), maybe we could have mash-up noir categories of Southern Noir (SoNoir) and Northern Noir (NoNoir)? LOL.Caliclifi for climate fiction set in California?
Spystery for a mystery set in space?
Just being silly . . .
I'm thinking I might like some horror poetry... Horretry... ? Could work. Might already exist, but can't think of any I've come across.
Caliclifi has a really nice ring to it!

Lovecraftinautica (Master and Commander and eldritch gods, done far more for the sound than the genuine readerly interest).

It exists, Poe wrote a bunch of it :-)
Some of Goethe's stuff could definitely be considered horror poetry, as could Yeats. There's Lovecraft's Fungi from Yuggoth and Other Poems and there's even a Stoker Award for best horror poetry collection if you want more contemporary examples.

High Seas Cthulhu: Swashbuckling Adventure Meets the Mythos
As RJ said, it's hard to find ones that haven't been done.

And many a chivalric romance of high medieval Europe qualifies as "romantasy". Nothing new under the sun here, just updated nomenclature for trending on TikTok.
Whitney, are you sure you weren’t a librarian in another life? This is not the first time I have seen you come up with multiple examples of books/authors that meet very specific or niche questions.
