How it fits: Ava, Reena, Jon and Cruz are being trained by Takeda to get revenge on those that ruined their lives. There is a rivalry between Ava and Reena at the beginning of the book however when they are training there is a fierce competition between the characters especially during the rope climb and flag grab.
