Reviews that are nothing but summaries

WHY do people feel like they need to summarize the book?!? Goodreads has already done that for us, if we want to look it up!
Reviews should be people's opinion of the writing, the writer, the plot and how well they all work together to keep the reader drawn into the storyline!
Personally, I am sick of people constantly posting "summaries" (most of which come directly off the dust jacket of the book!) with very little thought being put into why the book deserves a rating of 1 or 5.
WHY BOTHER?
