This is the first of many books starring Inspector Roderick Alleyn. We don’t get to know him well, though he seems an interesting character and a backstory is hinted at. This is a Golden Age country house mystery. The guests play a game called Murder, and one of them ends up really dead. As usual, everyone has secrets. I will probably read more by this author.
