Fakiha | 145 comments the counselors I think might fit this description, it's a mystery taking place at a summer camp

kaelyn | 36 comments Dark and Shallow Lies. It takes place in Louisiana during the summer. It's a fantasy/murder mystery type book.

Sarah 🦋 (sarahstbr) | 8 comments I am currently reading Tastes like Candy 2 by Ivey Tholen. It's based in a city in Texas during the summertime. Think teenage slasher movie.

I am about 50% into the book and it's been a couple of years since I read the first book, and so far I would say you don't have to necessarily read the first book for this one to make sense. They give you a lot of the background information up front.

If you like horror/nostalgia slasher feel, this is a good one!
