In my opinions, Eason's writing has improved since 2016, but I'm opting to round this up to 4 stars because there are some strong things about it. Eason writes 4 book series which each focus on one of four women who are friends and sometimes colleagues either in the book or previously. As the series name suggests, the women protagonists are elite guardians, all with top notch training and backgrounds that gave them prior skills as well. There are some good twists in this and it's as fast paced as any good thriller combined with romantic suspense should be. This one features Olivia Edwards, a former cop.
