I went to Alaska to watch the Northern Lights and it was one of the most spectacular things I’ve ever seen.

Skykomish for sure, and the Cascades heading to Portland. Nothing but wind and snow and moss and trees all around. It felt very liberating to stare out into those moss-quieted woods. Despite the presence of forestry, much of the wood looks primeval in places, so much that it's fantastical, like it was sculpted out of a pretty vein of jade.
