liv ౨ৎ | 21 comments okay, i'm pro palestine (def) but i'm confused about hamas because i thought they were in the wrong as well? because of what happened when they killed innocent people at that music festival? if anyone could explain i'd be very grateful <3

So you said Hamas is the only thing protecting the Palestinian people with no other means to be safe. I thought Hamas was a terrorist group and kidnapped a lot of children? I may be misinformed though! I don’t want to have the wrong impression of any of this 🤍

There's been hostages, yes, but NONE of them have been harmed by Hamas. We've seen PLENTY of videos from the time Hamas released a group of hostages and the hostages actually hugged the hamas members, said thank you and bye, gave them high fives and kisses on the cheeks. After that release, the prime minister tried to talk to one of those hostages and they declined his request

Hamas is the only resistance force in Gaza and it's been 76 years since they've lost their home. The Palestinians had been peacefully protesting for 76 years and they finally fought back with violence because that was the only way they could finally DO something.

Israel, on the other hand, you should see how they treat THEIR hostages. The videos, interviews, and photos are so horrific.

in response to liv, the way i see it is things got to a point where they saw no other way to get ppl's attention and resorted to violence to make people see palestine and their oppression. it's like, israel had massacred their people over and over, and they decided to fight back and give them the same. not that its ok that people died! just that it's understandable. problem is, israel saw the attack as an ample opportunity to exploit it and turn the world against these oppressed, angry, and desperate people, if that makes sense :)

Our world system works on violence, so when no one is bothering to look at their suffering when they're being peaceful, fighting back with violence sets an outrage on our system.

Yes, exactly. The hostages were never harmed and there are hostages who said the hamas soldiers treated them like friends. There are videos of Hamas soldiers carrying Israeli babies and cradling them and singing lullabies to them. There is a video of an Israeli woman with children who got caught by Hamas but the hamas soldiers are saying "We will not harm her. She has children. She is a mother."

Israel is like a master gaslighter girl😭 I sometimes watch Netanyahu's videos and I gape at how serious he sounds. DID YOU KNOW THAT HE ONCE MADE AN ANNOUNCEMENT IN MARCH SAYING, "We are blocking off food and water out of respect for Ramadan."

BUT YOU BLOCKED OFF FOOD FOR THEM ALL THE WAY BACK IN OCTOBER??

Inshallah - God willing

Alhamduillah - Praise be to God

Subhanallah - Glory be to God

Mashallah - God has willed it (but people use this to compliment others/themselves)

Allahumma barik - May God bless you

Allahuakbar - God is the greatest

Astughfirallah - I seek forgiveness from God

uhh that's all the common Arabic phrases in my mind rn

Yeah, that is very unfortunate. But it's mostly the government's fault for being VERY aggressive and biased towards Isnotreal, so your cousin isn't the sole one to blame, don't worry. Remember that some conversations with people are just NOT worth it, since their mind has already been made up (unless you think she can be changed). I'm also so sorry that she said those hateful comments about religion and your own personal beliefs. Stay strong!! 🤍🫶🏼🥺

From what I saw and this might not be 100% true but they weren't seeing the sides of other people and being extremely rude about everything making people uncomfortable or upset
