Our Wives Under the Sea is like... ocean horror

A Lesson in Vengeance is a sort of dark academia thriller that has a similar weird toxic sapphic relationship (probably the closest to what you're looking for, but not as 'what the fuck')

i enjoyed she's too pretty to burn, wendy heard a lot; it's a YA thriller but it's quite tame in the thriller sense (it's more just a bit weird imo). also i've just bought the dead and the dark, courtney gould - not read it yet but the sapphic thriller/ paranormal vibe looks fun
