The bootleg Kindle edition is still showing up for me and still needs to be taken care of, but other than that it seems like you're right.

Hi Dobby, sorry to revive a very old thread but I figured bumping it would be the best way to get your attention re: this issue.It looks like another librarian marked the invalid bootleg Kindle edition of The Sluts as valid even though you invalidated it. Do you think you could invalidate it again, then maybe leave a library note explaining the situation with it? Feel free to copy/paste the explanation I gave if you want.
Yup, that's what happened, despite the note I'd left the first time. I've changed the status to Invalid; please let me know if this happens again and I'll have Support take care of it.

As a note, a few of these editions are ebook and Kindle editions made without the permission of the author or publisher. These editions should be marked as invalid, as per instructions from Jaclyn: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
As another note, this book’s US cover art is somewhat NSFW (a photo of a nude man cropped just above anything sensitive). Maybe don’t work on this thread if you’re in public or on your work computer or something.

The Sluts has never been officially released digitally by the publisher except for the German translation, and you can see from the Amazon preview that this specific Kindle edition is mostly made up of corrupted images and bad image-to-text automated transcription, indicating it was done by someone who really didn't know what they were doing when they created it. Even though it may have existed at some point, it’s not a valid edition. Needs to be marked invalid.
