Kelsey Keen (kelseykeen) | 21 comments I have an extra Kindle that I want to gift to my mature, responsible 12-year-old daughter; since she has picked up reading here lately.

In her (small) physical book collection she has some Manga (My Hero Academia,) Coraline, Girls from the County by Donna Lynch (its horror stories/poems), and The Descendants.

When it comes to TV shows, she loves Outer Banks.

What are some of your recommendations?

Gayathri | 4 comments As teen I would recommend her to read more mangas like SPYXFAMILY,NARUTO etc. Coming to books has she read Harry potter yet?

And to be honest I have not seen any English tv shows that much.

Tina | 50 comments I love love love and will always recommend Avatar - TLA. It‘s child friendly with mature topics and fun. She can watch the animated show first and then read the comics on KU. Also maybe she wants to read Grimm fairy tales? It‘s a way for her to get a bit of an insight into different cultures and get to know the source material for Disney. The originals are darker than the Disney version.

She has watched the Avatar series - so I'll look into those. Yes, I completely forgot about the dark OG's of fairytales...I will add those to the list too!

I've asked her in the past if she would be interested in reading HP but she's not interested. I do not know Manga whatsoever - so that helps. She's reading My Hero Academia right now.

Callie (calliecat14) | 0 comments I think any book from Holly Jackson would be perfect! I read her "Good Girl's Guide to Murder" series and know that if I was younger I would have been obsessed with it! It's not graphic but still has thrill and suspense along with talking about important issues like racial stereotyping.

Grace Denholm (gracedenh08) | 27 comments when I was younger I read 'the summer I turned pretty' but you'd have to decide if you think that's appropriate by reading reviews etc and a perfect series for me is 'all the boys' they're both by that same author just cutesy romances kind of thing or anything by Holly Jackson like the person above me said is a good shout too
