(I struggle with that too. Haven't finished a book since 7th grade 🙈 that was more than 10 years ago by now)
(@Ave very true why don't I go off of Bet's, and then we just drop all the convos. We can take them to general chat or spam if we want)

Well, for one, you guy post up about 10 new posts before I can reply to the question. That a lot more energy in just having fun with it.If I went on my authors site and said...hey, lets have a reading competition, I would not get scores of 27000. Maybe we'd break a 100. Writing is a lot of energy, and reading cuts into that. Most of the stuff I read is kind of like homework to me. I dont really read for enjoyment.
Some authors insist on reading as the way to better writing, some say writing is the way to better writing. They come in all flavors.
Personally, I am slow reader. I could not read a book in one night if I wanted to. Even the Prophet, which is 100 pages, took me a week and a half.
I was published once 😂. A comment in a magazine 😂😂😂

(This game is very fast-paced lol. Yeah, I get that, writing can take away from reading time for sure, but I'm such a fast reader that I can read a lot in a short amount of time anyway. Also, I do believe that reading helps with writing.)

I'm a very slow reader. when I read 24 hours straight, I didn't even finish 2 books.
