Not been camping and a very long time. Id go again but no one wants to. Stayed in a yurt last time which was kind of a giant tent. On an island with wild chickens. I had one as a buddy that followed me around wherever i went.
That was in Hawaii. The big island has wild chickens, pigs and ferrets. At night, its all frogs, only they dont croak like here in Maryland. Instead they hoot and whistle, sounding almost like the bridge of the enterprise in the original series.
It was not at all what I expected. Prior, I had only seen it on the Brady Bunch, and Magnum PI. I visited two of the islands, and had a great tour from my sister, who lives there.

Well...I am 30 years later and still writing, but...I dont know that I would recommend it. Its a lot of work and very little reward. And a lot of energy and $$$ as well.But...there is something to having it all accomplished, and begging others to read ;)
The premise sounds like a good one. Having lived through some of that in my own life, I'd say it does not work out all that happy.
...Or maybe it does, just in unexpected ways.
