But I usually accept all of the friends requests cuz they must have seen something in my profile to ask for my "friendship"

I know that some people get cyberstalked, and I certainly understand why you would want to have your profile private in that case. And you certainly don't need to reply to this q..."
I do the same as you Kira. Before accepting a friend request, I look at that person's profile. I have been caught out though, even on here, so I am now even more careful.

For most of my social media presence I keep private but goodreads I do not since the only information I really put out is my books. There is really nothing personal I disclose. I also have been looking through my goodreads and been considering being more selective since I've been more active on here.
My question is how social are you with people you add on here? meaning aside from community questions, I am curious to know how many people actually hold further conversations with people they friend on goodreads?

It's funny the invites I accept are from this group because this is the only group I am in and the rest of the people I know on here are people I know IRL. There was a gentleman using this group to make friends and then chat with them, which is fine, but then was asking personal questions that raise red flags. He is no longer in this group and I recognized his profile picture from Insta and called him out. I don't mind meeting people online. I have made some really good friends that way. Some people just ruin it for others, as in all things lol.
