I love this book but Ruthless vows not so much. I love both the world and character building in DR. But the second book is just so hard to get through, Divine Rivals took me a couple days I couldn't put it down, Ruthless vows took me weeks. It was just dragging on and on.
The first is AMAZING and the banter GAH I'm in love. The second was harder to get through I still loved it but it was definitely dragging
Yes I think it's definitely worth the hype! if you're looking for a super romance-heavy plot, this probably isn't what you're looking for (there are parts of the book that aren't really focused on the romance and more on the war and Iris's growth as a character). but...if you love slow burn or enemies to lovers then I would say maybe try it anyway??

i'd say the first book focuses more on their relationship and character development, while the second book is more about the war and not much focus is given to the romance. i loved both of the books, but im a romantic so i preferred the first but they're both amazing. def recommend!

if you don't read it right now i will be underneath your bed tonight
can someone explain the hype behind this series? I read Divine Rivals and Ruthless vows and thought it was quite bad. Maybe I'm missing something?
I think the hype is the fact that although they went through a great tragedy and their were many obstacles in their way they always found their way back to each other
i've not read ruthless vows yet but i gave this book five stars. i just LOVE roman and iris' relationship.
