What’s a book you’re to scared/nervous to start?

ive heard such great things about it and i dont want to be disappointed.
also, girl in pieces
ive been looking for a book that'll tear me up and ppl keep saying this one but im nervous i wont like it

I read the first book and was somewhat disappointed. I was expecting a super sad book based on what some reviews were saying, but it wasn't as sad as they made it seem. Definitely not sad enough to read the second book for me.

Polarized reviews are always so hard for me! Like I will leave the book in my TBR just because I can't be bothered to see what side I will be on lol

I've had this book in my TBR for a year now and still refuse to start it. Something about all the reviews is holding me back.

I definitely think it's worth reading only if you’re prepare to be affected in so many different ways. A little life is a really powerful and emotionally gripping novel. The raw emotion coursing through every sentence is just amazing.
I recommend it honestly even if I’ve only read 200 something pages. I definitely think it’s gonna leave a drastic impact on my whole perception of humanity and just general wellbeing. If you’re not the type to read really depressing stuff, don’t read a little life 😭 or this won’t be a good read for you. I never check the trigger warnings (idc tbh they just spoil the whole story for me) But if you’re not comfortable, you should probably check them :))

The mortal instruments series used to be my favorite series a couple of years ago! I absolutely recommend!

Haunting Adeline was beautiful and if you like dark romance go for it. Hunting Adeline was kind of hard for me. Please read the TW before you read.

This one was a good read in like high school, reading it now, I don't think I would enjoy it as much.

Exactly!! I have had it on TBR for about a year now because I have been to chicken to just give it a shot.

I JUST finished a Dark Romance, and NOW I Want a Fantasy one, SO Excited but am Hesitating between two Most Popular Books (Powerless) VS (Once Upon A Broken Heart), what should I choose?????

OMGG same i have paused it after reading queen of shadows😭

I’m just so nervous that it’ll be overhyped and I’ll be disappointed. Every time I start a book that is super popular and I don’t like it, I go into this reading slump 🫠
