Luke came to Flockton after the post-collapse chaos had settled down. The people there were a bit on the wet side, but peaceful. And as one of the six Federated Villages Flockton was set up for a bright future. That was just what he needed. He’d had his fill both of war and being the guy who always stood up to scrotes and scumbags. He’d never do that again. Luke had vowed never to forget how the self-righteous suits had punished him for protecting the innocent. In any case, ferals and villains were almost extinct now, so they said anyway.
Luke was plodding on contentedly, supplying Flockton with wild meat and game. Then he met Hera. Best thing that ever happened to him.
So when the worst predator he’d ever encountered set up a casino, brothel, drug den and who knew what else just outside the trade zone and proceeded to threaten, beat up, fleece and extort the villagers, Luke wasn’t going to stick his sheepdog’s nose in again only to have it bitten off. Not by the wolf but the ungrateful, deluded sheep. Let the so-called leaders sort it out.

Bassey has provided a wonderful review of my manuscript. The inline feedback really showed how well this beta reader resonated with my story. Bassey was not only able to provide positive feedback where things were flowing well but also feedback where things fell short or were maybe a bit confusing.
I appreciate the general feedback about my story’s structure and can definately see where I can improve it.
Overall Bassey’s feedback was prompt,thorough and professional. Communication was made easy even with a technical error on my side.
My only advice to the beta reader is to just double check your report for typos becore sending it out. But it happens to all of us.

I have to admit, I struggle with feedback that is purely positive, but I also felt like you were being honest, which was very humbling. Thank you for your encouragement, I have no doubt that if there were notable problems in my work that you would call them out and handle them very gently and respectfully.
I have every intention of writing additional stories once I’m finished with this one, and when I do, I will very much desire to include you as one of my alpha, and later beta, readers.
Lastly, thank you for the replies you provided in my question sheet. No worries at all that you didn’t get all the chapters noted. Your report was the most valuable, in the answers in there were supplementary and appreciated as able.

I'm very early in my book, but Bassey was affordable and concise, and her inline comments are constructive. I plan to use her throughout the process, as I'm changing the structure, and I would love to get feedback on the new structure. She's terrific and gave an incredibly thorough review. I contracted with Bassey to look over my first book that I am working on getting published. As a new writer I have a lot of questions.Bassey took my 100K book and had it reviewed in less than 5 days. I got a word doc with her thoughts and chapter by chapter review. I found her insights to be helpful. I would have said I had zero left to add to my book before she reviewed it. Now I have several points to look at that I think will help in my books quality.
Bassey is VERY quick to respond to emails, and is easy to work with. If you haven't had this type of service before I would recommend it. Money well spent in my view.

Working with Bassey was a smooth and purely enjoyable journey. As a writer, it's always hard to hand your baby off for the first time, but Bassey's response blew me away (in a good way). Bassey just did a beta read for me on a 68k-word novel that crosses several genres. She was thorough, efficient, insightful, prompt, and quite helpful. She found some typos I had missed; she understood the characters, actions, and plot twists and gave a running commentary (in Google docs) of her reactions to what she was reading as well as suggestions for improvements and kudos for what she thought was working well. She also wrote a multi-page report covering the points she promises above. She is pleasant, prompt, smart, and easy to work with. Her fee is extremely reasonable. She responds quickly and constructively to emails. I found the experience useful and I recommend her to you if you need beta reading done.
