I just got up about 30 minutes ago. Haven't gotten back to it yet. I'm drinking my coffee and trying to get ready for the auction. It's a very rainy day and that makes for SLOW Moving 🤣
I just finished chapter 21 page 110. This helped me make sense of the various inking of the women.
“Nah. She’s not Death Dealer property. I want something special for her.”

I sleep in all kind of weird times so it's all chaotic for me, although it is technically morning too :-).
Debra wrote: "I find it interesting that women who aren't necessarily 'Old Ladies ' are inked."Some are club property and are inked accordingly. To prevent other clubs from messing with them.

But most clubs , especially mc books don't do that. So it's kind of like they are an actual PART of the club.
I finished. Thought I had the next book but I don't. I'm not sure I want to read the next.
This was okay but didn't WOW me.
Though it was a decent cliffhanger ending

Yes, incomplete like this, it's definitively lacking on the wow factor. Underwhelming somewhat.
Book 1 is in fact only first third not the first half, second book is twice as long and all the action happens there. But, it is also not free, and it never was free AFAIK.

But it's only 2.99 and full length. However, your saying their story continues to a 3rd book?

No, it's just the two books. Only thing is that the second book is double the length of first. Meaning we only read one third of the story now. The whole story is definitively finished in second book.

I liked Axle. I didn't like how Eve acted with him

Axle was great.
I just got time to sit down & start reading & I'm 10% in & hooked. I love that in the span of a few pages, in the exchange so much happens between the breathers & Drex to give Eve only a slither of the brutality of them both. His lie also, about it being for life. That's going to be an intense choice. The writing is so tight, and addictive. Glad I've got the day off.

I meant to ask,Does Nola want us to post a link to our review here or on different thread.
I remember seeing something about how she wanted us to do something with our reviews in this group but can't remember what it was.

I don't remember either :-(. Which is not exactly a surprise, considering all the things I tend to forget...

If you don't want to go to the link but want to read my review here instead, here it is hidden in spoiler tags.

I checked my books, but I didn't write a review, just rated it. But it wouldn't be right for me to review it as is anyway, since I have the whole book in mind. Which is a completely different experience than when you stop at 1/3 like this. I do understand why authors do this - they can earn more, but it's decremental to the book. Those two books should be one whole.

A bit of editing out some of the 'Unnecessary' bit's in this one and upping the intrigue/investigation ON PAGE & merging bk#2 into this one would have made the entire experience so much better.
I'm sure the 2nd book has a bit of filler in it too.
So the 2 books together should be about 300 pages max.
Have you read the entire series of this? There are 4 books total.

Not that it wasn't good writing, but the characters didn't appeal to me as much.

I don't know if she closed all the holes before she passed.
Do you know what I'm saying?

Meaning, sure if she wanted she could've probably set some other book in the same world, but she exhausted all the previously mentioned themes and previously central characters, nothing obvious is missing.

Book four is about Rush, he was that young, kinda assholish guy who was trailing behind Drex's father, a stepson of the other older club guy, the kind one. If you remember the scene when the whole entourage entered Drex's room when he was in bed with Eve for example (after the attack).

Completely agree with that one.
