Welcome to the A Tempest of Tea Buddy Read Discussion thread! This thread officially opens on May 1st and anyone can join at any time. Please keep in mind that spoilers are allowed in this thread but only up to the group's current reading place. Do not spoil the book if you've read further than the group. Any extra days can be used to catch up!

Each day we will be reading by chapters or page numbers. Page numbers are an approximation based on the hardcover or paperback that is the default on Goodreads. The suggested Buddy Read discussion schedule is as follows:

Week of 05/01
May 1st: Ch 1-10
May 2nd: Ch 11-20
May 3rd: Ch 21-30
May 4th: Ch 31-40
May 5th: Ch 41-50

May 6th: Ch 51-60

Chapter 1-20 this definitely has a Six of Crows element to it which I'm not necessarily mad about. Also the mention of Arawiya (the world from the author's previous duology is such a nice touch!
(view spoiler)[I think Laith is up to sth I just can't tell what. He has ulterior motives and I have a bad feeling about it. It's gonna be one of those things where one of them betrays them in the end. Also super excited to find out Arthie's secret. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[ I was soooooo right about Laith. I thought he was gonna take the ledger or sth but well what do you know. Mateo Andoni on the other hand...
Arthies big secret was anticlimactic, I already knew she was a vampire from her first conversation with Mateo so her "big" secret was just her adoptive father being a big shot vampire. anyways last 10 chapter and I don't think anything can surprise me anymore (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 51-60
I couldn't contain myself I just had to finish it though I was trying to delay this as much as possible
(view spoiler)[ The wolf of white roaring was mentioned quite a bit but didn't become a character of interest until the end now I neeeeeeeed to know who it is so bad. Jin is now a vampire so uhhhh there's that and Lady Linden is The Ram so there's also that Penn is dead and that's also sth. So many but m s dropping in the last chapters and ughhhhhh I can't believe we still have to wait ages before we get the second book. Also Matteo and Arthie end game pls I can't stand Laith. Finally got the book from the library! Can’t wait to start reading!

It took me a while to get into this book but I ended up enjoying it. The twist was predictable but it was still done well I had no idea it was going to be a series!
