Oh man I am a PRO at this (since i grew up poor)

Thrift stores, not all provide books but if you go to an actual second hand store where things are $2 then u should be good.

The library is quite literally free if you live within area of one.

Get some from family if you have reader families or grandparents/parents. I have my own personal bookshelf, but I steal off of the family one and my big sisters.

School library, if you’re still in school. Same as the other one but easier to access.

Second-hand, pretty much just like thrift stores but you can probably go on facebook marketplace and find some for cheap or Ebay.
