McKenna's story unfolds gradually throughout the book. Do you like this approach or would you have preferred just having it disclosed upfront?

lorii (Loriidae) I prefer this approach, I felt I was getting to know Mckenna, at the same time as Lucas. In real life we tend to be put off by someone who dumps their life story on us at the first meeting, that is how I feel about the upfront disclosure.

At first, I didn't, wanting to know everything right away. But the way it unfolded told the story so much better, creating a more emotional impact. I think you're right about too much too soon...it tends to just be a story.

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 1392 comments I agree. Just as in real life, TMI is hard for the reader to take in at first meetings:)

I agree, it was easier this way to take in the information as it was so brutal.
