Clwseattle | 91 comments Help!

I read the The Last Bookwanderer, ISBN 9780593327265 and listed ONLY that edition on my review page.

There is a 2nd date read option, (Other edition: The Last Bookwanderer (Pages & Co., #6) (Kindle Edition) (isbn 0008410909) Go to other edition) there but I only read the ONE edition. It will not let me delete that kindle one which is NOT a 2nd read date for me.

Unfortunately, that has skewed my stats and the number of books I've read so far in 2024.

I'd appreciate if you would help me straighten this out without me having to delete my review completely and re-add my information.

Thank you!

Clwseattle | 91 comments Thank you.

The problem is not in my 2024 challenge, it's in "My Books > Stats".

'Book Stats' have attributed me reading The Last Bookwanderer twice because it shows a separate read date for a Kindle edition, despite the fact that I did not read it in Kindle and entered no "Date Read" for a Kindle.

I cannot get rid of that empty "Date Read" on that review of The Last Bookwanderer. There is no X for me to remove it despite leaving it blank.

Clwseattle | 91 comments I have the same problem with ANOTHER book - A Royal Christmas by Melody Carlson, ISBN 9780800742317

Both say "Note: you have also reviewed the following editions of this book: A Royal Christmas (Kindle Edition) "

I have NOT reviewed either book twice.

I actually deleted The Last Bookwanderer from Goodreads. When I tried to add it back and rewrite y review, it still showed as having read 2 editions.

I am so frustrated.

Clwseattle | 91 comments Nevermind - I deleted both and started over after I cleared my cache etc. Of course, I lost the date I actually added it to my plan to read.

The problem is almost every book on GR has Kindle as it's default. If you don't change that default BEFORE submitting a review or adding it it adds that to whatever edition you change it.
