Ruth | 104 comments Just finished Nestlings and have to say I preferred it to Mary, which I can’t say I fully connected with. Nestlings had more of the creepy… “don’t go down that hallway!” kind of vibe I enjoy.

The main characters are definitely flawed humans, probably influenced toward their darker feelings and behaviors by their new living environment. But Nat Cassidy hit the mark in so much as many characters in the book embody the frustration and resentment felt by people the world over during the Covid pandemic. And as a study of personal loss, Nestlings does a superb job of framing the devastation of grief through the lens of a horror novel.

Zain | 340 comments I didn’t think that I would enjoy Nestlings. It isn’t all that, I remember thinking to myself. Then I started reading the book. And I was automatically hooked. I fell in love with this book. Wish I had read it sooner. 🙃
