books that you did not like and why

I'm trying to get everyone's opinions. What books do you see on social media (or even not on social media) that everyone seems to like but you don't, books that disappointed you, etc. and why?

OK I've quite a few:
Red Queen (felt very similar to shadow and bone + I don't like that trope about ordinary girl finding out she's of special blood)
The Spanish Love Deception (it had a lot of things wrong with it including Catalina's character)
The Silent Patient (I recently wrote a review explaining why it's a dissapointment)
The Faking Game (bcz of second-chance romance, I can't find it amusing)

One Of Us Is Lying, The Selection, The Inheritance Games, Red Queen, We Were Liars.

The housemaid! The plots were predictable, I did not like any of the characters & there was literally no humor nor romance in there. Don’t get me wrong I’m definitely in for crime fiction but this one was so mid.

Recently i’ve been trying to read a lot of Stephen King. But this year, Insomnia has to top on the worst book i’ve read.
