I have once again double-booked myself and will not be at the discussion on Wednesday. Hope everyone is enjoying the book!

We will miss you. I thought the book was "meh" as my son would say. Here is my review:
I generally enjoy classics and a story with social commentary but this one did not grab my attention.
It took about half of the book for things to start to pick up and I never became very invested in the characters. Even though Lucy, the main character, has a decent arc and goes through fairly significant personal growth I was not really rooting for her. I would really have liked to know more about George and although she was loathsome at times Charlotte, seemed more interesting than many of the other characters. I look forward to discussing the book with my library book group to see what their insights are.
