Jessica Spinelli | 13 comments I'm currently doing so and I'm having so much fun developing the story and characters!

Coco (cclarkjohnson) | 9 comments Also currently doing this. Been in development mode for a while because... life, but I make time every week for character development and fleshing out the plot and structure. Snowflake method is really helping me out :-)

message 3: by Kate (new)

Kate | 8 comments I've written one that is currently on wattpad if anyone fancies a read? If you don't know, wattpad is a free iOS and android app for publishing incomplete and complete novels but mine is finished.
It's called Revenge of the rogue angel and whilst I feel my writing skills have improved in leaps and bounds since then, I would love some genuine feedback on it.
Please let me know on here or on messenger (katehooper1972@gmail.com) what you really think of the storyline. I would love for feedback that is not from family or friends.
Now I am writing a fictional book about gang culture set in today's world and intend to try and get it published endgame.
That's my intention, to get my currently un named book named and published. I may share a chaper or two, depending on those who were willing to read and critique Revenge first. I'm absolutely terrified but exci\p

Jessica Spinelli | 13 comments @Kate not sure if we can respond in these threads I'm new here lol! I'll definitely read it. when you put your books on there does it open up the possibility of it getting stolen?

Bella(✨❤️Hopeful Romantic❤️✨) | 251 comments Yes! I’ve written many of my own books and I’m going to be in the publishing process soon! C’mon publishers!! Replyyyy!!🤞🤞😭❤️

Jessica Spinelli | 13 comments can you publish a book yourself & push it yourself?

Veronica Hawkins | 27 comments Jessica wrote: "can you publish a book yourself & push it yourself?"

Yes you can do it through Barnes and Noble! They just had a special where you could do it for $100 but I don't know if that is still going on. There are ways!

message 8: by Veronica (new)

Veronica Hawkins | 27 comments I have written one book and am attempting to write a second. I don't think that either of them are good but I post them up on Wattpad where you can post your books for others to read! I highly recommend trying to write your own. It sparks your creativity and even if it's not that great, it's still something to be proud of. I have had some relatives and friends read mine. They said it was good but I disagree lol. Even if it's bad, make the attempt. You never know what your imagination will create!

Gypsy (ignited_red_queen) | 25 comments I tried to start writing my own book a few years ago, I believe I got maybe a chapter or 2 but it was a bit all over the place. Writing is definitely not so easy, which is probably why I try not to be harsh on authors.

message 10: by Farwa (new)

Farwa (bumblebbooks) | 3 comments I've been trying to write a proper book for a whole year now. I'm still working on the story line. I wrote a ton on Wattpad years ago. What's your username on wattpad maybe I can read your work?

message 11: by Lauren (new)

Lauren (iniysa) | 149 comments I have finished several. Then, I realized how much I hate editing. LOL

message 12: by Jo (new)

Jo Kerr | 76 comments Yes, I’ve been attempting to write a fantasy book for many years, it is a struggle to spend large amounts of time on it when you’re working so it’s still unfinished

message 13: by Ryan (new)

Ryan Black | 4 comments I wrote a book! It's called THE DARK TIMES OF NIMBLE NOTTINGHAM. It's a Middle Grade Historical Fantasy, so it's definitely geared towards kids, but my hope is that readers of all ages will like it. It's about friendship, and fear, and monsters made of darkness, and it's set in London during the Blitz blackouts in WW2. It doesn't come out till next year, but it's here on Goodreads if anyone would like to give it an add. Thanks!

Christine Mathieu | 948 comments We already had this topic before.
Yes, I've written a novel in 1996, offered it to two German publishing houses. They disliked the fact that my story mostly took place on Nantucket Island, so they were not interested.
German publishers want stories set in Germany. Oh well, it's their loss, not mine. :)

message 15: by Laura (new)

Laura Jane | 26 comments I've been attempting to finish one for at least 15 years now 😅 nah I'm always writing but I need to actually commit to it and not move onto something else lol

message 16: by Judith Speed (new)

Judith Speed | 208 comments I have written one, which I am currently drip feeding to my writing group. It’s a great way of micro editing because it really makes you focus on the difference between what you think you said and what you actually said. Stephen King put it as”the first time you write with the door closed. The second time you write with the door open.”
I have 1 more at 2nd draft stage and 1 at 1st draft stage.

message 17: by Bella (new)

Bella | 9 comments Hey there! I'm a senior English major on a creative writing focus/track and I simultaneously work on my novel in my classes!

message 18: by Ayden (new)

Ayden Nadareski | 11 comments I've tried to make a book, yet I've never had the motivation to finish the process. My first book ( the earliest thing i could think of) was a book called Animals Battles. I wrote it in the elementary school along with "BFDI" and one about a camp that I forgot its name. in the beginning of middle school, I remember me and my brother, and I wrote a book about superheroes. I'm now into animation and the occasional reading.

message 19: by Ayden (new)

Ayden Nadareski | 11 comments I also made a song script that I have to this day called "Kids just wanna have fun"

message 20: by Kar (new)

Kar @Ayden Nadareski
I love the name.

either way I'm also currently in development because I got a little busy when I first started so I'm still working on it slowly I at least have two chapters...

Annie Rose | 54 comments i randomly had like a brilliant plot line idea last week and everything has just been flying into my head on how it could go down so i’m definitely working on starting with the story. i actually got the idea based on a book i started and tried to write last year but lost the idealism for but i think it will come through this time :))
