Years ago I read a pregnancy romance book that I loved and I can’t find the title anywhere. It is driving me crazy that I can’t find it! Please see plot description (with spoilers) below. Does anyone know this?
Plot: woman falls in love with a rich man, they get engaged. His brother and mother don’t think she is of a high enough class to marry him, so they stage an attempt for the brother in law to attack her. FMC gets away and tries to get help from fiancé, but he thinks she is after his money so he sends her away with a big check and never wants to see her again. Months later, he wonders why she never cashed the check so he goes to find her and she is working in a rundown diner and pregnant. She is barely surviving and has no money and isn’t able to take care of herself, so he brings her back home to take care of her. They go on vacation together and he later learns that she was never lying and his brother did try to attack her.
