He doesn’t even care about the script—it’s just a means to get a different one green-lit. Oh, and he thinks love is an emotional Ponzi scheme.

But Emma’s not going down without a fight. She will stand up for herself, and for rom-coms, and for love itself. She will convince him that love stories matter—even if she has to kiss him senseless to do it. But . . . what if that kiss is accidentally amazing? What if real life turns out to be so much . . . more real than fiction? What if the love story they’re writing breaks all Emma’s rules—and comes true?

Up to 25% (view spoiler)[ I am loving this so far. I’ve cracked up several times and I love how the characters seem realistic. Emma is a lively and fun character and I love how she’s got red poofy hair and an obsession with a screenwriter. That she actually gets to meet!! It makes for an interesting plot. But it’s actually funny so far!!! Not sure how much I like Charlie, but there’s plenty of room for that to change! (hide spoiler)]

I also really loved the sister bond and how they are both so supportive of one another! You don't always get those healthy relationships in books and I'm living for it. I also love her dad and love how she explained him as the best seller in a dad shop lol so cute

I, too, am loving the book, I am currently on chapter 20. I think the story is cute and original. I really am loving the characters and the plot.

I just wished that Sylvie took their dad with them to the beach so they could have still took care of him instead of he being taken care of by a 7 year old. Eeek! I cant wait to read all your updates! Lol. I think Im on chapter 18, 47%
(view spoiler)[I honestly felt so emotional during the chapter when she explained what happened to her parents on that trip, I feel so awful for her and her sister. I am super glad that her sister doesnt really remember it though and that they have both turned out so well. Her sister is doing such a good job with their dad too and I love that she doesnt have to worry so much, though I am nervous that something might happen and contribute to the third act conflict.
I also love that he made her those donuts on her birthday and also that they talked about it instead of not speaking and misunderstanding what the other was thinking. (hide spoiler)]

I was thinking when they were in the car and he kept coughing and said it was "allergies" but also I was like maybe its a coincidence (its a book, I dont know why it would be a coincidence lol) but its come up like 4 other times since then. His sarcoma has definitely come back and its near his lungs and causing his cough. sigh. I dont think itll be metastatic though. But I do think he is going to hide it from Emma if he can, that or shes going to be the one to be like "this is not normal I made you a doctors appt" and they find it "just in time" or something.
