Sophie (sawphie) I started reading Wallander books by Henning Mankell around seven years ago, after a recommendation by a university friend. It was the first Scandinavian author I read and I liked the ambiance of Skane and the slow and thinking pace of his novels. I really like Wallander, his way of analyzing his cases and the situations he lives. He is a bit depressing at times, but touching too.

I now have read every book. The Troubled Man is the last of the Wallander stories and there will be no more. I miss this character and I will miss it even more after reading this last story, so I need to read it slowly to relish this last story.

Have any of you read a Wallander story? What do you think about them?

Marina | 272 comments One of my colleagues have donated several boxes with books to the "library" we have at work, and I saw that there were quit a lot of Mankell's books, and I thought of you, Sophie :)
Maybe I should try and read some of them!

Sophie (sawphie) Yeah Marina you should totally try one of them!

What a great idea to have a sort of library at work where you can exchange books!
