Mine was Around The World in 80 Days.

After reading that book I was hooked on reading.

Kaia Wolf | 15 comments I learned how to read using comic books, specifically Superman and Spiderman :) My dad would bring them home from the BX (they gave away free ones) and the pictures and onomatopoeia significantly helped me learn how to read and sound things out! I’m dyslexic, so comic books were amazing help!!!

so if you started with comics or with teen books like the diary of a wimpy kid that's great!

That was also one of my first Astrid Lingren books. I really got hooked when I read her Kalle Blomquist trilogy.

Mine were goosebumps too! I had soooo many of them lol

I remember seeing those 1-2-3 learning books, I had a BOLT copy.

The first book I remember reading in regards to school was Animal Farm or Fever.

The first book that I chose to read and got me back into reading for fun, A Good Girl's Guide to Murder.

Em | 78 comments The first proper book I ever read was Twilight by Stephanie Meyer when I was 11 (my autism loved that one) and the first book I read that sparked my love for books after a 3 year reading slump was A Good Girl's Guide to Murder by Holly Jackson in 2022.

Last year, I read the hunger games, and I loved it so much!! It was an amazing book, and afterwards I read a bunch of other dystopian (divergent, 5th wave, Shatter me series etc) and now I am OBSESSED
