What order to read the Throne of Glass series?

Hello! I just finished ACOTAR and now I am planning to start Throne of Glass. My questions is what order should I read the TOG series? The Assassin’s blade first or third? I know reading it first is how it happens chronologically but SJM intended it to be read third. I’m also planning on doing the tandem read. Thanks!

Definitely tandem! I vote 3 for TAB. That’s how I did it and I liked it :)

I think assassin's blade first and tandem read is so fun, I think it's the most fun with reading I've ever had!!

i did assassins blade first and didn’t tandem read and really enjoyed it but next time i’m going to tandem read.

I read The Assassins Blade 4th because in the 2nd book( Crown of Midnight ) and 3rd book ( Heir of Fire ), you get a lot of Celaenas past revealed so The Assassins Blade is good to read 4th if you want. But because you have already read three books before it, a lot of the book is already spoiled so don’t do what I did. Read The Assassins Blade 1st for the best experience!!!

I highly recommend Assassin's Blade 1st! Even though SJM did write it later- I feel reading it 1st really laid out the foundation for the start of TOG. Also, if you read it 3rd- a big reveal from Assassin's Blade is spoiled for you, so you'll miss out on the suspense of it since you'll already know what's happened. But to each it's own. The tandem read is totally worth it though!

Currently reading this series!! I decided to read assassins blade third and thought it was perfect. I am also planning to tandem read EOS & TOD. Wish me luck!
