helloooooo thought this would be a good opportunity to post an introduction for anyone that wants to know more about me! my name is soph!!
ive been actively trying to get back into both reading and gaming, as they are both hobbies that I loved when I had alottt more free time. I am currently in my last semester of college, about to get my bachelor's degree in about a month from now! yay! im trying getting back into the hobbies that I used to enjoy since ill have a lot more free time! my favorite genres are fantasy, romance, horror, anything concerning plants and anything that makes me think about life (maybe philosophy is a better way to say that?). I play alot of video games like overwatch, minecraft, stardew, the newer pokemon games, borderlands, etc. i really love nature, my degree is actually going to be in environmental science so it makes sense! i love all things concerning plants and bugs! I also have 2 pets, a cat and tortoise that I love very much, they are my literal best friends : ) I currently essentially make maps for a living (geographic information systems)!! it’s pretty cool. that being said, I have no sense of direction lol.
feel free to add me! im always looking for more friends that share the same interests, id love to chat more with all of you :)

Pam Aramburu | 2 comments Hi Sophie! nice to meet you. Environmental science sounds super cool! I love nature too, it's fascinating. And you do maps for a living! how's that? you're a cartographer like Alina from the Shadow and Bone Trilogy. Anyway, I know this is a gaming group, but if you or anyone ever want to nerd out about science and nature and maybe share cool reads or articles about that, I'm game! ^-^

I have a post in Intros but here's me!

I'm Heather, but I go by Mynx or Starry on social media and games (Starry was a nickname a friend gave me cause I love space themed things, Mynx was a nickname my World of Warcraft guild gave me that just kind of stuck even though I haven't played in a while).

I'm 38 but seriously am a kid at heart. I read a lot, mostly fantasy and romance, but with some sci-fi mixed in. I game on both my PC and my Switch. I've played ALOT of different games, but lately it's been single-player or relaxing games. I'm a cat mom and a teenage boy mom. I'm a financial database and reports developer and I'm in the EST time zone.

Other than games and books, I'm obsessed with coffee, squishmallows (mostly dragons, aliens, and octopi), I nerd out over things related to space and the night sky, fantasy, ren faire things and costumes, pop punk/emo/rock music, and dragons in general.

I'm always a message away if anyone needs anything, so don't hesitate to reach out! <3

oh i am so game to nerd out about nature and science anytime! sometimes i debate on adding my textbooks to goodreads buttt i worry that it will mess up my recommendations haha. once i leave college, im probably never going to look at a textbook again. but books about nature are ALWAYS welcome in my life. also! you just made my job sound soooo much cooler, adding that to tbr IMMEDIATELY. theyre basically online maps, i use a software to make these online maps and people at my job use those maps to monitor endangered plants and whatnot. i definitely wish it was all on paper though, technology isnt always fun :( what got you into nature and science?
