Mikael (mikaelronnback) | 7 comments Recently I've started seeing quite a few of the books I own marked as "not meeting standards" for some reason.
This is new to me and I've not seen this before even though I've been with Goodreads for quite a few years.
I don't know why this happens but regardless of that I can of course go in and select another edition (though this is not always possible since sometimes the edition I own does not have any alternate with the same cover).
But anyway, my actual question is whether there is any way I can find which of my books I've added as read or owned that are marked as no longer meeting standards so I can edit my reviews and change them to another edition if there is one ? Is there any option to see this in for example batch edit mode or if I export my book list ?

Olga Silvertongue (olgasilvertongue) | 6723 comments There's an issue with import bots marking books as invalid. Could you please link to the specific editions you're having trouble with?

No, there isn't a way to see this information (the "edition status") for multiple books at once. Sadly, it's not shown on a shelf (like Read or Want To Read) or in batch edit mode; there's no way to search for it; and it's not in an export file. The only way to know for sure AFAIK is to click on each book, one by one, to see if that edition has a message about "not meeting our catalog standards."

When you do see this message, it's almost always an error. Goodreads' automatic software, aka bot, often changes a valid edition to this status when it shouldn't.

If you include the link for the edition with the problem, a librarian can check it and fix the status, if it's a bot-created error (which it usually is).
