Reader | 1 comments Hello! I need some help with finding the title of a book that I have read a few years back. I remember not getting very far into the book, so I’m afraid all the information that I have only happens in the beginning of the book. The story is taking place in the middle of a zombie apocalypse. The female protagonist is trying to survive with her husband and 2 daughters. I believe it was implied that their marriage wasn’t doing well, Before the apocalypse happened. Now, one day they head to the grocery store to get some supplies. The husband is freaked out because he witnessed some children crying at their parents to not hurt them because the parents had turned into zombies and were eating their children. The next morning the wife wakes up feeling terrible because it turned out she somehow got infected. Horrified at the realization she decides that it’s better to off herself than to stay at home and endanger her family. After a tearful goodbye, she runs out her home with a gun her hand planning to just end it all. But turns out the gun was out of bullets and she wails in despair, collapsing onto the ground while the infection starts to take hold of her. Until a group a vampires jump in to save her at the last second. By injecting her with their vampire venom, it overpowers the zombie virus inside of her and she starts to turn into a vampire instead. The reason this group of vampires did this is because they were looking for her already. It turns out she is the fated mate of one of the vampires in the group. There might’ve been something about a prophecy as well, but that is as far as I got into the book. Sorry for the lack of details, I know it really helps to spoil the ending when trying to search for books. But, if anyone knows anything about this book I’d really appreciate it!
