i have a question about Goth Prom # 5, the POC author. Do Indigenous author's count for this? i was really excited to read the book i picked, just unsure if it fits! thanks!!

@Dia it won't count bc the rule is you have to start the book on May 1st and no book started before then will count so that goes for BRs as well (tho I'll still need another mod to confirm)

oooh and could mods clarify what will be included as POC author? because my understanding is as long as they're none white but if indigenous authors don't count are there others than don't count as well?

we're not counting indigenous because it's a broad term that isn't exclusively Native American etc (see the Sámi people who although are indigenous are still technically white) and also because since we cannot use POC and indigenous interchangeably it's not the same thing. anything by a Black or South/West Asian would count here :)
