My pace slowed down in March because we added a new puppy to the family. Much of my reading time this month was spent trying to save/clean the carpets.

The Monkey's Raincoat by Robert Crais


This month was split down the middle regarding the good and the bad.. The first two books plus "Hardcase" did not meet expectations, but the other three exceeded them.

Well, I managed to finish two books this week, so I'm beginning to figure out how to work around his demanding schedule.

A month with a Crais book is always a good month!

I remember the puppy days! That was the only Gillian Roberts book I've read, although I have quite a few on my shelf. I may try one more.

Good month on top of the new puppy - congratulations and good cleaning! :) If you haven't read other Robert Crais books you are in for a treat. I love the wise-cracking Elvis Cole.

Susie, I live just outside of Philly, so that's why I read the book, but it disappointed me. I don't intend to read any more in the series. But if you do and find you like them, let me know. I might give her another try.

I've read one other Elvis Cole story (Sunset Express) and loved it too. I look forward to reading through the whole series.

Exciting puppy news: Today he "did his business" outside in the front yard for the first time! Oh Happy Day!! It looks like I might be able to read an extra book in April instead of cleaning the carpets.
