Brok3n (brok3nengines) | 5 comments I think I bought this from Amazon. Unfortunately, it is no longer in my Amazon order history. I got it between 1990 and 2010. (Apologies for the broad range -- earlier dates are more likely.) It is not either of these two recent books: The Writer's Map: An Atlas of Imaginary Lands or An Atlas of Imaginary Places.

It contains many maps of imaginary countries from works of fiction. These included some well-known maps, but also many were, I believe, drawn by the authors/compilers,

Thanks. Yup, I think this is probably the one. However, I will not mark it as found yet -- I want to get my hands on a physical copy first.

I shall return!

Ashley Lambert-Maberly (ashleytylerjohn) | 48 comments I'd be surprised if this isn't the book—but regardless, it's terrific and exactly what you're looking for. Youll love it, even if it's not the one you remember. Note that there were two editions with slightly different maps (mostly the same, but some differences).

maybe this?"

That looks like a possibility, too. Thanks.

Brok3n (brok3nengines) | 5 comments I got both books, An Atlas of Fantasy and The Dictionary of Imaginary Places: The Newly Updated and Expanded Classic. The first more closely matches my original description, but the second is also familiar -- I definitely once owned The Dictionary of Imaginary Places. I suspect that I owned both and that in my memory they had melted together into a single book.

At any rate, this is now solved.

¡Muchas gracias!
