Felina | 2416 comments I’m about 46% through and I suspect this book might suck. It’s boring and meandering and I don’t want to read it. Super cool premise but somehow so boring. And there’s a lot of weird sex. Not descriptions. Like it’s not spicy at all but the sex is distressing. (view spoiler) I was going to pop in here and say I was going to give it only a little bit longer but I may have talked myself into DNFing this.

Nirkatze | 20935 comments Sorry to hear that, but I'm glad you paved the way so that I'm forewarned...

Felina | 2416 comments I’m curious to see what you think. The reviews are obviously more favorable than not so but the bad reviews I read match my sentiment pretty spot on.

Heather (justanothermammabear) | 2 comments I just finished this one yesterday, and I LOVED it. I will almost never read a synopsis because I HATE spoilers. They often reveal way too much. No idea how this one made it on my list, but I am SO GLAD IT DID!

Looking forward to more people finishing it because I don't want to give out spoilers, but I look forward to discussing!

Nirkatze | 20935 comments Oooh so interesting! One love and one tempted DNF! Now I'm REALLY curious what I'll think!

Felina | 2416 comments One full scale DNF.

Nirkatze | 20935 comments Read through this today. I can totally see what @Felina is talking about--the first half or so have some very uncomfortable encounters. It reminded me of The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue a lot--similar premise, and similar results, but less character focused. More poetic, more focused on the marvels of the world. I enjoyed the travels and little snippets, but the characters were washed out and the story as a whole felt weakly stitched together.
