Anthony | 11 comments I’ve been listening to a lot of audiobooks, specifically books of April Henry, and I couldn’t help but make a whole thing now, where every book I read, I picture an actress for now. For her books specifically, I’ve got Dakota Fanning as Nell for her ‘Two Truths and a Lie’, and Alexandria Daddario as Miranda Nash for her ‘Run, Hide, Fight Back’.

Maude Apatow for Lola, in Megan Lally’s ‘That’s Not My Name’. Funny enough, I think the idea of a book becoming a movie or tv series is nice, but it would also deter me from reading it in the first place, because it gets too mainstream. Best sellers meanwhile, are always going to be a thing.

Richaar | 133 comments I always search up the characters on pinterest to get an idea about how they look. I take my inspiration from fanart and fancasts.

Lynn (officerripley) | 281 comments Having aphantasia, I don't picture anything, unfortunately.

Lynn | 130 comments It depends on the book, but my mind can conjure completely new characters depending on how the author describes them, but if they have a TV or movie persona already mapped out like in Twilight…

sarah | 288 comments Depends on the description of the characters of each book but I can imagine a whole scene if it's written well enough.

cockatiel forger | 31 comments anything I've seen before I start reading as it's fresh in my mind and I don't have anything else to imagine them as.

funnily enough after I've imagined them as that it stays that way. I tend to avoid fanart as it gives me vertigo.

Lilah Yes! Ever since I looked up Tessa fan art from Defy the Night I’ve avoided it. I pictured her to be prettier, than what a lot of the fanart showed and it messed with me ☹️

Sarah | 41 comments I have a pretty vivid fantasy, so my brain is amazing in picturing characters with even little to no description

mireya grasso ₊˚ෆ | 1 comments I imagine my thoughts but I define the way I think of the character after seeing Fan Art. However, if there is a movie/show depiction I try to avoid it altogether because it gets annoying when they don't cast it like I imagined.
