Many Protestant denominations in the United States now ordain LGBT ministers and allow gay weddings in their churches. Last month, the Presbyterian Church USA changed its constitution to include same-sex marriage. But most evangelical churches remain opposed to gay marriage. To many evangelicals, the debate is rooted in their belief that the bible says same-sex relationships are a sin. But a new national movement of young evangelicals is beginning to challenge this interpretation. Using theological arguments, they are starting to change church teachings on sexual orientation.
