That’s great! I’m a writer as well! And those are very important questions. Naming the characters… that’s difficult because I don’t know your characters. But basically you want something that sounds good, resonates with the character, and isn’t dumb or overused or in some cases, both. Street names? Simple. I will DNF a book if towns/streets/cities/etc have dumb names that I can’t even say. So make it still sound like a street name or whatever, but make sure it’s not weird and can be said out loud and easily out loud. Anything else you should know… there’s SO MUCH that goes into writing books that I can’t even describe or list it. But the first thing that comes to mind is definitely planning out your books!! The best book series to read are so obviously planned out and perfected. The Hunger Games is the first one that comes to mind for me when it comes to planning. I’ve written many books and I so when I read stuff now, I KNOW how much effort an author put into planning. There’s having a great idea you think you can write a story about and then there’s taking that great idea and planning, making it better. Writing books is actually rly complicated and harder than most people think. So I applaud you for trying to write your first book! As a fellow writer, I'll try and answer these...1. It depends a lot on the setting and time period. Generally, I try to look up lists for baby names online and just scroll until I find something good. If you have character personalities in mind already, try to pick something that gives off a vibe that fits them.
2. I don't have as much experience with this, but Google Maps could help. Finding street names that you like and find different combinations of their parts could work.
3. A few things...
-Read dialogue out loud to yourself so you can see how it sounds when spoken. If it sounds weird, find a way to rewrite it so it sounds more natural.
-Don't exposition dump. Reveal information to your audience, but do so naturally and not all at once.
-You don't have to be perfect the first time. You can always come back and rewrite a section once the first draft is finished.
-Make sure your details are meaningful in some way. If your details aren't important, they will feel like unnecessary padding.
-Consistency is key! Find a time in the day that you can set aside for writing and try to write every day. Even if you only get a little bit done, you're still progressing and keeping up a consistent schedule.

3. In addition to all of the lovely stuff Henna_UwU has said, remember that ideas are not the most important part of writing. Ideas are still necessary, but the quality of your story comes down to how you execute those ideas. Many writers forget that writing is more than an outlet, it is an art, a craft, and a beautiful one at that. Be sure that you are making the writing flow well, and practice when you can to hone your technical skills. These sorts of things are less fun than charging ahead with a fun idea, but it makes the end product much more satisfying :).

I'm making my own book with a friend she chose dumb names for the second chapter and then the chapter got deleted somehow but it's mostly me writing the book because she quick doing that with me and on the names I'd say do some fun ones but not ones that Sound weird unless it's weird character.have fun with your book and wish you some luck writing it too!
OMG GOOD LUCK :))1. Random name generators - I also get family or loved ones to give random letters and then try to make something out of that - Same thing with streets. Do you ever have dreams about names or people?? Because I sure do so try to steal something from your dreams
3. JUST WRITE - do not focus on grammatical mistakes and all that jazz JUST WRITEE!!!!! Because eventually it just zooms past your head and you forget EVERYTHING. If you feel like you need to add something, put a side note or something and revisit it AFTER you finish writing the chapter. I think everybody said everything else that is needed to be said.
